Welcome — finance vault

Use this vault to connect thesis, positions, transactions, and tax events so reviews and filings take hours instead of archaeology.

Principles

1. One note per significant transaction (or batched logical event) under transactions/ with consistent frontmatter if you export to CSV.
2. Quarterly roll-up in reports/ even if short—trend lines matter more than perfect prose.
3. Tax notes track status (estimated, reported, needs CPA) without storing full SSN or account numbers.

Red lines

• No private keys, recovery phrases, or 2FA backup codes in Markdown.
• No screenshots of balances with full account numbers; redact or link to secure storage.

Suggested weekly habit

• Import or paste exchange CSV into your tool of choice; for anything unusual, add a narrative note here explaining intent (gift, bridge, staking reward, etc.).

Tag by asset (btc, icp), jurisdiction (us-tax), and strategy (long-term-hold) as your accountant prefers.
